Established in 1978, the Kanien’kehá:ka Onkwawén:na Raotitióhkwa Language and Cultural Center was created to preserve and enrich the language and culture of the Kanien’kehá:ka (Mohawk) of Kahnawà:ke. Our center is located in the Mohawk Territory of Kahnawà:ke south of Montreal, Canada.

KORLCC holds the community mandate to develop, implement and deliver diverse language and cultural education programs, projects and services to safeguard the sustainability of our language and cultural traditions for the benefit of our present and future generations. In order to fulfill the goals of Kahnawà:ke’s language and cultural strategy, KORLCC engages in a number of initiatives to assist and support community members in the study of Kanien’kéha, in addition to offering a venue to foster worldwide awareness of our distinct nationality.
