SHATIWENNAKARÍ:TATS LANGUAGE MENTORSHIP PROGRAM APPLICATIONS

About the Mentorship Program

This initiative aims to revitalize Kanien’kéha by connecting fluent speakers with second language learners. Through one-on-one mentorship, experienced speakers provide personalized guidance, allowing learners to practice and improve their language skills in an immersive and supportive environment.

Mentees in this program are self-motivated individuals committed to personal and professional growth and open to self-guided learning. Mentees are responsible for creating their own schedule with their mentor. Mentors can be family members, relatives, or other community members. If a mentee is unable to find a mentor, one can be selected for them.
