Description:
Painted hand-held drum used by Paul K. Diabo during his Jay Treaty court case (1927-29).
One side of the drum depicts the profile of a man wearing a Plains-style headdress superimposed over a blue sunburst design.
The other side depicts a tipi with a buffalo head a center; to the right of the tipi there is a cactus and to the right a man who appears to have a feather in his hair sits atop a horse.
There are mountains in the background and wavy lines on either side, framing the motif.
